How does one record a video from realplayer after watching it?

I have a program called ReplayAV to record streaming video, but this is the problem: I had a live streaming video clip (using realplayer) on pause, and when I resumed I watched a section which I would like to record. To record with the program I have (Replay AV) first you must set up what to record and then play the clip from the website and it will start recording. Therefore I must close real player and start it again. Seeing as it was a live clip if I close real player, I will loose what I want to record.
Isn’t there a program out there that will let me record whatever I am watching. Or record everything on the monitor? Like whatever you do on the computer, just put it in a movie.
If anyone knows about this stuff I would really appreciate a fast response, seeing as I still have real player on pause (so I don’t loose the stuff I want to record).
