Can I buy a device that will allow my home camcorder to act as a live streaming video 4 my computer/internet?

I want to connect a device that will allow me to use my home camcorder and other video/audio equipment to stream live info over the internet and/or computer instead of buying a simple webcam. This away I could also connect something like a DVD player or VCR and it too would be able to be sent over my computer. Is there anything out there that I can get that will do this for me?

    An ATI All-In-Wonder video card will provide a perfect interface for any video source. With the supplied WDM drivers I was able to stream the video and audio of a basketball games to my brother using Netmeeting. That’s one of many possibilities.

    well i have tried a similar thing last 4 years ago, I broadcast my tv card on the internal lan network at my home using microsoft windows media encoder 9. You can download it from
    You need to plug in your camcoder to ur pc through usb cable ( install your cam coder drivers) provided by your cam coder vendor and then use microsoft windiws media encoder 9 to broadcast it on the internet.
